Marius is the story of life: fathers who run their bar with an iron fist, mothers who bring up their daughters alone, sons who dream of elsewhere, daughters who dream of love and widowers who still dream of love? Frédéric Achard brings this Marseillais-accented fresco back to life, offering his actors and the audience a modern tone and an ebb and flow of feelings, so dear to Pagnol: from laughter to emotion.

Marius is an authentic immersion in the Bar de la Marine, a plunge into the Marseilles of the 20s, thanks to a cinematographic set and an acting style remarkable for its finesse and sincerity.
