ESTHER
CARNON PLAGESaturday 18 April 2026
Presentation
Discover this e?ponymous show at the Salle Rosa Parks!
Esther Senot is a survivor of Auschwitz-Birkenau.
At ninety-seven, she is one of the last witnesses to the genocide. For over thirty years, she has tirelessly told her story to younger generations. The fruit of an artistic process proposed by the Rivesaltes Camp Memorial and carried out with Esther Senot, this show offers a sensitive and deeply human approach to the memory of genocide.
Drawing on texts from "La petite fille du passage Ronce", a meeting with Esther Senot and the many traces of her testimonies, the show paints the portrait of a free woman. A woman who endured the horror and absurdity of the "Final Solution", but who was able to transform her suffering into a life force, and keep faith in humanity in spite of it all.
This eponymous show is much more than a collection of words. It is the result of a rare and precious encounter between the memory of the unspeakable and artistic expression.
"Poignant, accurate, sensitive? our theatrical favorite."
