The Petit Travers is the practical spot. Located 15 minutes from Montpellier and having a kite area in the summer, it is a bit the spot not to be missed during the summer season and the big thermals.
Petit-Travers is a handy little spot. Located 15 minutes from Montpellier and a great kitesurfing location in summer, it’s unmissable in the summer season and enjoys strong thermal winds. They blow in two directions: south-east and south-west. In both instances, the wind blows on side-on shore with quite a bit of choppiness, sometimes even waves. So you can practice both freestyle and strapless kitesurfing here. It’s one of the region’s must-visit spots.
