Concert by the bassoonists of the Montpellier National Opera Orchestra
For budding music lovers, the bassoon is that curious instrument immortalized by Sergei Prokofiev in his musical tale "Peter and the Wolf", in the role of the Grandfather. Despite over 400 years of existence, the bassoon, one of the lowest-pitched instruments in the orchestra, remains little known to the general public.

As a quartet, the bassoonists of the Opéra Orchestre National de Montpellier Occitanie, Rodolphe Bernard, Arthur Antunes, Blandine Delangle and Magali Cazal, are keen to showcase their instrument. They take on an eclectic, virtuoso and joyful repertoire, from Bach to the Beatles, via Vivaldi, Bernstein and Piazzolla!
